Memorial to Albert Huffstickler

(Photo by Taylor Johnson/1998 American-Statesman). By 8pm Monday, March 4, Hyde Park Theatre at 511 W. 43rd was filled to overflowing. People of all all ages, Tessie, age 2 to me in my middle 50's to nodding acquaintenances older than Huff were drawn together to share rememberances of Albert Huffstickler, truly a poet. Albert Huffstickler was our Pecan Press poetry editor for years and years. He passed away February 25, 2002 at St. David's Hospital of a ruptured aortic aneurysm. He is survived by his sister who was at the memorial.
