University Extension: Meeting Needs and Expanding Dreams

The mission of this non-degree evening program is to fill continuing education needs and educational gaps with college credit courses that bring the outstanding quality of UT Austin teaching and research to the greater Austin community.

The program is dedicated to a philosophy of learning that fosters positive change in the lives of students and in the community at large. University Extension offers evening courses in a wide range of subjects, including computer science, history, foreign languages, government, business, science, literature, creative writing, mathematics, and many others. Courses may be taken for professional development, for career redirection, to advance toward a degree, or for personal enrichment. You may enroll for full academic credit or use the "audit" option if you do not need the credit.
