Our World in Stitches Quilt Show

The Austin Area Quilt Guild's (AAQG) Our World in Stitches 2002 Quilt Show will be held at the Crockett Center, 6301 Hwy. 290 East, Austin, Texas, on Sept. 27 and 28 from 10am to 6pm and on Sept. 29 from Noon to 5pm. Admission is $5 per person, $4 for seniors (62 or older) and children under12 are free.

The show features over 300 quilts by AAQG members; a silent auction for quilts, wall-hangings and baby quilts; a boutique with items made by AAQG members; a quilt demonstration area; and a vendor area where you can buy almost any quilt-related product you can think of.

The show also features a demonstration area, quilt appraisals by appointment, and many interesting factoids discussing quilts, the quilting industry, and history. This yearŐs raffle quilt is a queen-size quilt made by AAQG members named Hands Around the World.

The AAQG is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to preserving the heritage of quilting and promoting excellence and education in the art of quilt-making.
