It is our understanding that the projects for the West side will now have to be resubmitted and will now be subject to the NCCD rules which limit heights to 30 feet rather than the more than 50 feet that had proposed. The attorney for HPBC vigorously disputes this, of course, and filed an appeal to the Planning Commission's action immediately after it was taken, so this will move on to the City Council. "The road goes on forever and the party never ends..."

In more agreeable news, we are holding preliminary discussions about the possibility of deploying a wireless computer network for Internet connectivity here in our neighborhood. This would allow subscribers to access a high-speed connection to the Internet anywhere on their property, indoors or out, and at a competitive price. We anticipate that there will be more information in next month's Pecan Press.
