City Leadership's push for infill or densification while maintain the character of our streetscape. Some of these secondary units will be on display.
We are now at the point where we need a large number of volunteers to come forward to serve as docents (guides), House Captains to organize docent teams, bus conductors to provide information about the neighborhood to Tour goers on the buses, people to sell tickets at the start point and volunteers to help with advertising sales for the brochure and to generate publicity in advance of the tour. Anyone interested in volunteering should contact Bob Breeze at breeze99@texas.net or 452 3850 or by attending the next Homes Tour Committee meeting. These are all at 3:00 PM Sunday afternoons at Gary and Wanda Penn's house at 3913 Avenue G at the southeast corner of Avenue G and 40th Street. The meetings are upstairs above the garage in the back. Anyone interested in contributing to the Tour is welcome. Working on the Tour is a great opportunity to get to meet many of your neighbors as well as old house and old neighborhood fans from throughout the area. There is also the small incentive of a free ticket to the Tour.
