prefer to work at a specific house or on a specific day or time slot please let us know. We are asking for three-hour shifts, so the choices are Saturday morning, Saturday Noon to Three, Saturday Three to Six, Sunday Noon to Three or Sunday Three to Six. Each volunteer gets a complimentary ticket to the Tour and there will be a post-Tour party at New World Deli across the street from the entrance to Austin State Hospital in the Hyde Park Market Place at 41st and Guadalupe.

    Advance tickets ($10.00) are on sale now at the following locations:

  • Quack's 43rd Street Bakery - 411 East 43rd
  • Hyde Park Bar & Grill - 4206 Duval St

  • Breed & Co. - 718 W 29th St & 3663 Bee Caves Rd.
  • Flight Path Cafe - 51st & Duval
    Ticket prices will be $12.50 on the days of the Tour and will be available at the start point at the Austin State Hospital, where there will be free parking and free buses for transportation to the Tour houses. Marc Burkhardt's excellent Tour Poster will be available for sale at the Start Point and some of the Homes for only $10.00 as well as the book, "Austin's Hyde Park: The First Fifty Years," for the same price. Some remaining Centennial Posters will also be available for $5.00.
