Competitive Communications coming to Hyde Park July 16, 2003
Dear Neighbors,A choice in high-speed Internet, local and long-distance telephone and cable television service is coming to parts of Hyde Park. And Grande Communications is proud to be bringing it to you. The availability of our bundled broadband services to Hyde Park residents north of 45th Street is still months away, but we would like to inform you now that our engineering crews are currently in the neighborhood during the pre-construction phase of our new state-of-the art, deep-fiber network. In August, our construction crews will begin installing fiber lines primarily along the utility poles within the neighborhood in an area bordered by 51st Street to the north, 45th Street to the south, Avenue H to the west and IH 35 to the east. Grande hopes to complete our state-of-the-art network and provide service to the entire Hyde Park area by the end of 2004. In the meantime, we are already in contact with your neighborhood association leadership to discuss ways Grande can make our construction process as unobtrusive as possible. We are learning a great deal about what is important to Hyde Park residents and where to be particularly sensitive. While we will try our best to keep any short-term disruptions to a minimum, we acknowledge that you or your neighbors may have concerns, questions or comments. ThatŐs why Grande would also like to hear from you. Grande representatives will be available at a fall general meeting of the Hyde Park Neighborhood Association to give you an overview of our company, our construction and notification process, and field any questions you may have. Watch your newsletter for date and time. In the meantime you can visit our Web site at www.grandecom.com/About/construction.jsp. There you will find a link to our construction FAQs. If you have specific questions related to your property, we invite you to contact Angie Huxel, Construction Customer Relations, at 220-1110 or angie.huxel@grandecom.com. Part of our Value System states that Grande will be easy to do business with. We are committed to working with the Hyde Park neighborhood to be a welcome and positive part of the community and we look forward to serving you soon. Sincerely,
