Join us at the ASH Dash on April 3!

Dear Hyde Park Neighbors,

The Volunteer Services Council of Austin State Hospital cordially invites you to participate in the ASH Dash for Mental Health 5K and Walk on Saturday, April 3rd.

The ASH Dash is designed to raise awareness about the mission of Austin State Hospital, reinforce our connection with the community we serve, and to raise funds that will enhance patient programs and services.

The certified course is a double loop and the walk is a single loop through our campus. The starting line is in front of the venerable Administration Building--headquarters for last year's Hyde Park Homes Tour. This historic structure will be open for guided tours during and after the race, and patient art, old photographs and medical equipment will be on display.

Eduardo Sanchez, M.D., new commissioner for the Texas Department of State Health Services, will serve as honorary chair for the race and walk.
