Hyde Park between 38th and 45th Streets was platted in 1891, the area south of
43rd, between Ave D and Guadalupe, was originally envisioned as a large park.

In 1921 only the Brownlee / Huston House at 4206 Avenue D
stood on this block. It had been built in 1911. Mary Banford Brownlee
