The association has a great asset in incoming president John Kerr. Special thanks also go to Joe Jernejcic for taking over the Shipe Park Committee; to Hermalinda Zamarripa for staying on as Crime & Safety Chairperson; to continuing Planning Chairperson Karen McGraw; and to Mike Capochiano for staying on as Treasurer. Thanks also go to Pam, who will be staying on to assist Co-Secretary Denise Girard, and to Niyanta Spellman and Susan Moffat for their ongoing preservation efforts. Finally, we wish to thank Gary Penn for his good will and advice over the last year. As for yours truly, I will be continuing on as Hyde Park's new representative to the Austin Neighborhoods Council.
Pam and I thank you for the privilege of serving as your co-presidents. It has been a pleasure to assist and a wonderful chance to get to know all of you better. Pam and I agree that we have learned a great deal and are moving forward with a renewed respect for this community and a reverence for its people.
