The 2004 Hyde Park Homes Tour, features 7 homes clustered within walking distance
as in the early days of the tour. As an added attraction, horse-drawn carriages with
spirited tour guides will be available to carry guests to different stops along the way.

This year the Homes Tour celebrates its 30th anniversary. Through the years many
positive changes have come to the neighborhood as a result of the efforts of HPNA,
and funds generated by the tour. Homes have been restored rather than razed, and
many have received landmark status. Hyde Park has become a model of highly livable
inner-city neighborhoods with a mix of renters, homeowners, shops, and restaurants.
As you tour our neighborhood, you will have opportunities to meet neighbors and
learn about what was once an early suburban development on the northern edge of Austin.

Enjoy our homes and gardens, take a carriage ride, listen to the stories, and experience
