The Common Goods ad for Valentines

Milestones Dept.: Congratulations to Hyde Park Theatre Artistic Director Ken Webster and his colleagues, whose work with FronteraFest, the "five-week-long performance fandango" that's centered right here in our hood, was prominently featured in a recent American-Statesman article. And we quote: "FronteraF- est is the largest and most respected fringe theatre festival in the Southwest..." Interested? Can't blame you. Tickets: 479-PLAY. Schedule: www.hydeparktheatre.org.

Lost (and found!) Bike Dept.: We've been advised by neighbors Maury Sullivan and Todd Pruner (458-3897) that they have recently found a children's bike that ain't theirs made by Arctic Trail, metallic gray in color. If that sounds familiar to you and/or one of your progeny who rides an (ex?) bike, but may not frequent these pages, you can email production@cisco.com to identify and claim the bike.

Scams Dept.: An elderly resident has asked us to advise neighbors to be wary of any unsolicited calls coming from a prison. The resident reports receiving two phone calls, one of which was collect. She refused to speak to the caller and hung up. The woman fears that someone in an institution may have access to publicly- listed phone numbers like hers, and urges residents to pay close
attention to calls from strangers. While she could not recall the name of the institution, our neigh- bor is certain the call came from a prison because a message at the beginning identifies it as such.

Sierra Club Dept.: If their most recent newsletter is any indication, our friends at the Austin Regional Group of the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club are up to all kinds of interesting and noteworthy go- ings-on -- including, for example, a cross-country ski trip at Lake Ta- hoe, morning conditioning hikes, kayaking on Town Lake, a social "meet and greet" at Central Market, and lots more. To learn more, you can visit www.texas.sierraclub.org, austin, and/or call 472-9094.
