The last major topic of discussing was brought by Don Iden, Vice President of the Ridgetop Neighborhood Association and Roberto Gonzales, a planner with Cap Metro. They addressed us about the various alternatives for the No. 15 Cap Metro bus route. Concern has been raised about the current route, which passes in front of the elementary school on Caswell Avenue and 51st Street, and the congestion it causes at the school. Different alternative routes were discussed such as moving the route to Airport Boulevard or shifting the part of the route currently on Caswell Avenue to Red River. There was lively discussion about the various alternatives, and all agreed that the idea needed a great deal of work to try to reach a resolution acceptable to the majority of those interested. There will be more news and discussion on this topic at a later date.
