I'm moving to a third America
which is neither red nor blue
where the godless and the godly
are the relatively few.
It's not ruled by corporations
which make kings of CEO's
nor by dogmatic religions
with beliefs that lead to war.
There the dream of world dominion
is a myth, even a sin
while hunger eradication
is an achievable end.
There our wild places are treasured
and our land treated with care.
Mother Nature is held sacred;
the will to pollute is rare.
There the goal's not more, more money
buying bigger, better stuff
but enjoying every moment
of the precious Life we've got.
There we tune in to each other
to our bodies, to our thoughts
and not to the mass hysteria
coming out of TV sets.
I'm moving to that third America
which is neither red nor blue
come and visit; you just might find
that it's just the place for you.
