Martha Campbell, our entertainment coordinator,
is selecting
musicians for the homes, as well
as at Baker School and the Elisabet Ney Museum. She also needs
help setting up sound equipment and refreshments for the
musicians and setting up chairs
for tourgoers. Contact her if you
want to participate, at 452-2815 or
MCampbell0722@aol.com.
Pecan Press Poetry Editor Nancy Day, our authors'
coordinator,
is asking Hyde Park authors, writers and poets to set up at the
Elisabet Ney Museum. Nancy
needs help with refreshments tables and chairs. To volunteer at
the Ney, call Nancy at 451-4034
or poemmom@yahoo.com. We
would very much like to have artists participate as well, but as of this
writing we have no one to coordinate any art events or locations.

Also this year we are looking for
new tour guides on the carriages and
storytellers. Contact Alan Marburger for either of these volunteer spots
at 459-2261 or
alan@mcgrawmarburger.com.
Of course, for all who have never been involved in a Homes Tour,
there are many jobs (over 300) from
docents to cleanup crews. All volunteers are given a free ticket to the tour
and treated to a fabulous party afterwards at New World Deli. This is one
of the best ways to meet your neighbors and have fun. Call our volunteer
coordinator John Williams at 323-6997
or jawilli@grandecom.net.
Be sure to visit
www.hydepark-na.org for more information about
the Homes Tour.
