The Friends of Shipe Pool are once again hosting a free party near the log cabin on
Saturday, June 12th from 12-3pm to celebrate the beginning of swimming season.
Thanks to a generous donation from Grande Communications, we will be serving hamburgers, hot dogs and refreshments. We would love for neighbors to bring a side dish of their own to share.

From the State Hospital through some grand surprises in the heart of Hyde Park, we have history, style, and community to share. Air-conditioned shuttle buses will transport tourists in comfort between the featured homes while expert docents share stories and history of Hyde Park. There will also be live music and an artists’ fair on the grounds of the State Hospital. Advance discount tickets may be purchased online and at Hyde Park locations, and on the day of the tour at the Austin State Hospital.
