On Tuesday Feb. 7th the Austin Neighborhoods Council Central Sector breakfast is at 8 AM and then after work the Region I Baker/Ida District Representatives will host a Commander’s Forum from 6:30– 8:00 PM on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012, at the Austin Cornerstone Church, 1101 Reinli St. Topics will include crime statistics, Graffiti/Gang Unit presentation, burglary interview as well as a question and answer session with the District Representatives and Command Staff.
The HPNA game night is on Wednesday Feb. 8th.
On Saturday Feb. 11th from 7:00-9:00 PM neighboring Heritage Neighborhood Association is holding a Candlelight Procession for Esme Barrera and All Victims of Violence. It will start at the My Cleaners Parking lot at 3100 Guadalupe where there will be a vigil in honor of Esme Barrera and victims and survivors of violence. This will be followed by a candlelight procession through the Heritage Neighborhood and a speak-out session where participants who want to will share experiences, thoughts, feelings, music or poetry about the recent violence and what we can do about it.
