Decisions at last night’s Steering Committee meeting

Posted in Meetings, News on December 14th, 2010 by lisaharris – Be the first to comment

At last night’s Steering Committee meeting we agreed to recommend to our membership a budget for 2011 that includes special funding for the project crime and safety co-chair Heather Freeman has been organizing to gather evidence that will convict the tire slasher. We also approved replacing the inactive sidewalks committee with a broader transportation committee.

Catherine Moore has been working for much of the past year on coordinating with Trinity so that child care can be available during HPNA meetings in order to make it easier for parents to participate. Thanks to her efforts childcare will be available during our December meeting!

Agenda:

Guadalupe St. plans and vision- Alan Marburger
Update on tire slasher case & crime in our area – crime and safety co-chair Heather Freeman
Short update on Local Historic District – Lorre Weidlich
Discussion of our proposal for pocket park (Huffstickler Green) at 38th and Duval- Lisa Harris. (We submitted a notice of intent to apply to the neighborhood partnership program to create this green and received an invitation to apply.)
