Austin's 3-1-1 City Information Service
Call Austin's 311 service to access non-emergency City services and information 24 hours a day, seven days a week. 311 operators can:
- Answer your questions about city programs and submit electronic work requests to other city departments for things like street repairs or solid waste issues.
- Take police non-emergency calls, including excessive noise and barking dogs, etc
- Handle non-emergency code violations, such as complaints about overgrown lots.

Austin Solid Waste Services handles garbage and recycling, and also enforces a variety of city codes. Here are some links to City code compliance information:
